Step #1 Setting a Realistic Goal

It is so important to be realistic. Otherwise you are just setting yourself up for failure, and disappointment.  I did some research, I asked some questions, and really put some thought into what my goal should be.
April 1st was my first weight in at 179.6. I now weigh 169.0. I used the BMI index to help figure out what was a healthy goal.
The Formula
Your weight (pounds)  time 703, divided by the square of your height in inches = BMI
My example - 169x703 = 118807 / (63X63) 3969 = 29
My BMI is 29 which is considered overweight (almost obese actually).
Healthy BMI is between 18.5 and 25 so I should weigh between 115-140 ish
So going off that and from what I used to weigh I am going to set my goal at 125-130.
That is 44 pounds to loose which is realistic and very do-able.
It is safe to loose 2 pounds a week (thats my plan!) so by October 1st I WILL be at my goal!
Wish me luck MOTIVATION!
